Eldorado appoints new CEO

Russian electronics retailer Eldorado has named Igor Dolezel as its new CEO. Dolezel has been with the company since 2009 and was appointed to a temporary director position after former CEO Kaha Kobahidze left the company on 24 November. Prior to working for Eldorado, Dolezel graduated the Prague Economic University in 1986 and has held management positions in Czech foreign trade company Pragoinvest, Dutch confectionary company OZF (Jamin) BV and German food manufacturer Dr Oetker. In 2005, Dolezel joined Home Credit and Finance Bank in Russia and was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the same bank in Belarus in 2007. He was hired by Eldorado in 2009, initially holding the position of Marketing Vice President.
