Lenta testing compact hypermarket format

Russian grocery retailer Lenta has opened a compact hypermarket with a net sales area of 3,485 square metres in the city of Cherepovets. The product range includes 13,000 items, slightly less than in its standard 7,500-square metre hypermarket. It is also Lenta’s first hypermarket launched on a leased area.
