Nastroyeniye closes stores and sells vending machine side of business

12 July 2010

As a result of the economic crisis, Nastroyeniye, a Russian multimedia retail chain and subsidiary of Ritzio Entertainment Group, has closed all its retail outlets in Russia, except for those located in Moscow and the Moscow region. This move has seen the company’s storecount fall from 120 in February 2009, to approximately 44 in mid-June 2010.
In addition, the company has also sold the vending machine division of its business (about 100 vending machines selling DVDs).
Prior to these closures and the sale of the vending machine division, Nastroyeniye operated in two segments: mono-brand stores (100-150 m²) selling multimedia products (CDs, DVDs, computer games etc.) in Moscow and the Moscow Province, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Province; and vending machines selling DVDs. Most of the company’s vending machines were located in Sedmoy Kontinent stores.
