French retailers accused of abusive supplier treatment

Castorama, Darty and Intermarché have been named as some of the nine retailers being taken to court by the French government for abusive practices with negotiations with suppliers. The DGCCRF (Ministry for Competition, Consumption and Anti-Fraud) has already found that Carrefour, Casino, Auchan, Leclerc, Cora and Système U, have engaged in improper conduct with suppliers. The nine retailers will have to attend commercial tribunals in Evry, Bobigny, Créteil, Lille, and Meaux between 17-20 November.
