Mosmart could be the buyer of Carrefour’s hypermarkets in Russia

Russian retailers Mosmart could be the buyer of all three Carrefour’s hypermarkets in Russia. But Russian retail community considering Auchan as most probable acquirer cause format of hypermarkets of Auchan and Carrefour’s are more resemble.

Half a year ago Mosmart was suffering from huge financial problems and sold a number of stores. But considering that in present day Mosmart is having support from Sberbank (main shareholder of this retail network) the possibility of this deal is more than real.

The speaker of Mosmart Natalia Aristova said that retailer is interesting in different offers and even from Carrefour. But she noted that companies didn’t discuss any deals so far.
