Rewe Group to open 10 stores a year in Ukraine

20 Febuary 2009

Rewe Group has outlined its expansion strategy for Ukraine. Billa Manager Ruslan Lavrinenko said that "Starting this year, we plan to open around 10 new stores each year, predominantly in towns with over a million inhabitants." The investment will be funded by cash flow from Rewe Group's international operations. Despite having entered Ukraine several years ago, Billa currently runs just a handful of supermarkets in the country.
